Sexual Harm Assessment Sports psychotherapy/sports counselling has been used to help athletes develop/strengthen their emotion regulation skills and develop their own sense of identity. It is important that young athletes develop their own identity so that they can find value in themselves beyond their sports performance, whilst still supporting their sporting goals.
